Chi-Lin (麒麟（ジィリン）, Jīrin, Chinese pinyin: Qílín) is the Holy Beast of the Center and the Guardian Ghost of Dong Suhon.

About

Chi-Lin is the central spirit of the Four Holy Beasts, a group of Kami-class spirits belonging to the Dong Family. Dong Suhon created mechanical child-like bodies for the Four Holy Beasts, including Chi-Lin, and he operates Chi-Lin through a pair of small bells with carvings that correspond to the spirit's animal, a kirin.

Chi-Lin is able to synchronize with the other Holy Beasts, enabling Suhon to remotely activate and control them.

Trivia

• Chi-Lin's appearance is based on Milieu from Takei's ULTIMO series.
• In the character design sketches, Chi-Lin's name was printed with the katakana チーリン (Chīrin); however, this was amended to ジィリン (Jīrin) when it was named in Shaman King The Super Star.
