Spirit[]
- See More: Metatron
His Guardian Ghost is a car-based tsukumogami empowered by a piece of the archangel Metatron. The media for its Over Souls are missiles for from Chris's launcher,[6] and the original vehicle was a tan Hummer H1[7] that Chris drove during the Gulf War.[8] Like all the other archangels, Metatron has the ability to shatter souls.[9]
History[]
Past[]
Chris was born on May 6, 1961[4] in Memphis, TN. After joining the U.S. Army, he ended up in the Middle East, where he drove a hummer and fought with terrorists.[10] In 1991, this led Venstar to face off with Asakura Hao, who was attempting to recruit Mohamed Tabarsi, one of the terrorists that Venstar was fighting against. Hao ended up butchering Chris's entire unit and incinerated Chris's lower legs.[11] This encounter also awakened his shamanic power. While recovering in the field hospital, he met Marco Lasso, who was chasing after Hao, so he decided to join the X-Laws to take his revenge.[12]
Travel Through America[]
The X-Laws entered the Shaman Fight in order to stop Hao and help Iron Maiden Jeanne become Shaman King.[13]
After arriving at Mesa Verdede, Chris and the other X-Laws watched as Marco killed Boris Tepes Dracula with his Archangel, Michael.[9] As the X-Laws and Asakura Yoh's group traveled deeper into the mesa, Marco introduced the members of his group. When Bill Burton ambushed the X-Laws, they defeated him by overwhelming him with their Archangels; however, Yoh refused to let them kill Bill.[6] After Marco briefly clashed with Yoh, the X-Laws respected Yoh's bravery and so left Bill alive as they continued ahead to the Patch Village.[14]
After reaching the Village, Lyserg Diethel met up with the X-Laws, and Marco offered to let him join them.[15]
Shaman Fights Second Round[]
In their first match of the tournament, Team "X-III" were put up against Hao's Team "Hoshi-Gumi". Chris's teammates, Cebin Mendel and Meene Montgomery, were both quickly killed, and while putting up quite a good fight, he was stabbed by Hao's Spirit of Fire.[16] Like all X-Laws, his duty is to protect Jeanne the Iron Maiden and so he asked Radim if the shield guarding the arena was strong enough, to which the officiant said yes. Venstar then used the Grenade-X in a last and final ditch effort to kill Hao by extinguishing all oxygen in the arena so that the Spirit of Fire would lose its medium and leave Hao unprotected. However, it was all in vain as Hao survived unharmed, by turning the Spirit of Fire into water. After the fight was over, Hao had the Spirit of Fire devour the souls of Team "X-III".[17]
Invading the Plants[]
When Hao created a Black Hole within the Great Spirit, the X-Laws appeared in their Supercars to protect the train of souls that was aiding the Five Elemental Warriors.[18] After the battle, Hao resurrected everyone who had died during the Shaman Fight.
Day After Maize[]
After being revived, Chris and the rest of the X-Laws (except Marco) were inspired to reunite at Mont Saint-Michel. They then reformed into a charity organization, with large support from the Leidi Group.[19] The new X-Laws visited war-torn places around the world, bringing aid and exorcising evil spirits.[20]
In 2008, they all gathered together and celebrated the wedding of Jeanne and Tao Ren.[21] Chris and Porf later returned to working for the U.S. Army and were assigned positions in Germany.[19]
Marcos[]
Spimea Lasso and Daremoine leveraged their influence to get the various members of the X-Laws fired from their military and government positions.[22] Shortly after, Luchist Lasso contacted the X-Laws, notifying them that Marco was at Mont Saint-Michel, so they all returned there. They were confronted by Spimea, whose Lucifer quickly overpowered the Archangels and caused the X-Laws to lose consciousness. Lyserg continued the fight with the Spirit of Fire until Luchist interrupted. Everyone then bore witness to Marco's revival.[23] The X-Laws were shocked by Marco's appearance as a young boy, as well as his angelic power, which overwhelmed Spimea and Lucifer and forced them to retreat.[24]
