The Corpse Infantry (屍（キョンシー）部隊, Kyonshī Butai) is composed of nine hundred ninety-nine Jiang Shi created from military infantry.

About

They are the nine hundred ninety-nine members of the Japanese Imperial Infantry that were slaughtered by Tao Chin during World War II and were turned into Jiang Shi.

Chin would later present them as a gift to his grandson, Tao Ren, on his ninth birthday and had him cut them down to test his fighting skills in preparation for the upcoming Shaman Fight. Private Shimamura Jōtarō was amongst the nine hundred ninety-nine corpses.
