Director Ten (
Appearance[]
The Director is a short, rotund man with slicked back hair and thin moustache. He wears a light-colored suit, a patterned shirt, and a bolo tie.
Personality[]
Abilities and Powers[]
A Dàoshi from the Dong Family style, Director Ten uses special talismans to control the souls of living people, turning them into Jiang Shi. He is extremely skilled, capable of remotely operating a Jiang Shi from a great distance.[1]
History[]
After finding out that Tao Jun intended to sneak into an exclusive party he was holding, Director Ten sends Enki, whom he had turned into a Jiang Shi, to chauffeur Jun to the party, as well as to test Lee Pyron's loyalty. Before Jun and Pyron arrived, the Director turns the other 80 guests into Jiang Shi, setting up an ambush for the pair.
The Director greets Jun and Pyron when they arrive and apologizes for Enki's attempt on her life. However, rather than sharing information about Red Crimson, the Director seeks to know how Jun created Pyron as an talisman-less Jiang Shi, and so he has his own Jiang Shi attack the pair.[1] While they are fighting, the Director makes comments intended to further Jun's and Pyron's distress and break their spirits; however, the pair ultimately defeat all of the Jiang Shi and restrain the Director.[2]
Pyron later brings the Director up to the rooftop, where Jun is. Dong Honhon then drops in[3] and knocks out the Director, but he is left behind when Dehon stops time and gathers everyone at the base of the building. Yonhon also places a GPS tracker in the Director's shoe.
Jun later returns to the roof and finds the injured Director.[4] Feeling betrayed by the Dong Family, the Director shares information about the family, while Jun treats his injuries and flies him to a remote villa. After learning about Honhon and her past, Jun removes the tracker and allows the Director to leave.[5]
As he walks away, the Director is stopped by Usui Horokeu, so he asks Horohoro to help Jun and Honhon and tells him about Yonhon. The Director then accompanies Horohoro as he ambushes and confronts Yonhon.[6] The Director begins to worry that Horohoro is too naïve to match Yonhon's lies and manipulations, especially when Horohoro is caught in Pai-Fu's illusions. However, Horohoro recovers himself, so Yonhon runs away. Although they know the truth, the Director is uncertain that Honhon could be convinced enough to stop attacking the Tao Family.[7] The Director and Horohoro then rush over to where Jun and Honhon are fighting. They watch as the women push their bodies past the point of breaking and temporarily die. With the help of the Tao Family, both women are revived.[8]
Afterwards, the Director brings the unconscious Honhon to the Dong Family Estate and immediately flees after dropping her off.[9]
