Friend (友達 Tomodachi) is the 60th episode of the 2001 Shaman King anime series.
Summary[]
As everyone rushes towards Ren, Mohamed Tabarsi attacks again. As Horohoro is able to block the attack, Johann Faust VIII states that Ren is still breathing but in a terrible state. As Horohoro, Chocolove, and Ryu create their Big Over Souls to fight Hao's followers, all of them get knocked back by their opponent's attacks. After Luchist makes fun of Ren, all of Hao's followers state that Hao is their ideal. Meanwhile, Hao and Opacho are still walking while Manta follows them. Meanwhile, Yohmei voice is heard in a flashback where Hao starts a rebellion and asked other monks to join him. Yohmei then tells that 500 years ago, Hao was defeated with the 1080 Rosary Breads and Futunomitama no Turugi. As Anna wonders if Hao will fall for the same technique again, Yohmei states that that is why they have her and Yoh. Meanwhile, Yoh is running and searching for Hao. As Team "Hana-Gumi" ambushes him and attacks, Yoh is dodging the attack. As Yoh states that they are strong but he is still planning on stopping Hao, he creates his new Spirit of Sword Over Soul. Meanwhile, Hao, Opacho, and Manta are close by the Great Spirit. As the Great Spirit sends over three guardians to test the strength of his approaches, Hao is able to defeat them quite easily with the Spirit of Fire. Then, Hao and Opacho continue their journey towards the Great Spirit, while Manta is still following them. Meanwhile, Chocolove, Ryu, and Horohoro are trying to make a stand against Hao's followers. As Horohoro asks Faust VIII how Ren is doing, Faust begins to panics because he has no blood to save him. As Eliza calms him down, Faust uses his Furyoku as an attempt to save Ren. As he looks up, he sees everyone's Over Soul breaking and getting pushed back. As Mohamed Tabarsi attack them, Lyserg shows up and saves them with his new pendulum. Meanwhile, the four Patch Officiants are still clashing multiple times. As Nichrom mocks Silva again, Kalim calms him down and states that they have to show them their full force. As the Patch Officiants then attack each other with their full strength, a big explosion is seen.
Meanwhile, Ryu and the others are surprised that Lyserg has shown up. As Lyserg orders the others to protect and help Ren, he decides to face Hao's followers on his own. As all Hao's followers attack Lyserg at once, Lyserg uses his new Oversoul together with Morphin. As Luchist order Lucifer to attack, Lyserg defeats him. As Hang Zang-Ching and Brocken Meyer attack him next, Lyserg defeats them as well. Then, Lyserg dashes towards Peyote Diaz and slices his Over Soul in half. As Lyserg looks around him, he sees that Horohoro is defending himself against Mohamed Tabarsi as all Hao's other followers stand up and attack Faust and the others. As they are about to hit them, Lyserg jumps in front of them and takes the full blow. As Lyserg falls to the ground, Luchist attempts to kill him. As Lucifer is about to kill Lyserg, Ren wakes up and smashes Lucifer down with his Big Oversoul. As everyone is surprised, Ren states that he will not be defeated so easily by the likes of Hao's followers. As Hao's followers attack Ren, Ren is able to knock them all down. Meanwhile, Silva of the 10 Patch Officiants and Kalim of the 10 Patch Officiants are continuing their journey. As they walk further, they are on time to see Yoh beat Team "Hana-Gumi". As Team "Hana-Gumi" cannot believe that they have lost, Yoh takes Silva and Kalim of the 10 Patch Officiants with him. Meanwhile, everyone is happy that Lyserg has woken up. As Lyserg states that he does not expect forgiveness, Ren, and the others restore their friendship. As Ryu starts to cry of happiness, they take Lyserg with them on their journey to follow Yoh. Meanwhile, Kino has finished the ritual. As Anna takes the 1080 Rosary Beads with her, then she tells Tamao and Pirica to stay behind.
