The God 8 (GOD8,Goddo 8), or G8 (G8,Jī Eito) for short, is the name given to the group of eight Shaman Kings that convenes to debate the future of the Earth.[1]
If three or more members raise a complaint against the current Shaman King, an event called the G8 Summit (G8サミット,Jī Eito Samitto) is held in the highest society of the Great Spirit. The fate of the planet is decided there. However, if the Summit fails to reach an agreement, then the dispute is settled through a proxy war, known as the Flower of Maize.[1]
The name is a reference to the Group of Eight, a collective of countries that participate in summits for the purpose of coordinating global initiatives.
