Jackson (寂尊 Jakuson) is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga and anime series. He is a member of Gandhara and a part of Team "Myooh".

Jackson is a handsome man with waist-length flaming orange hair and a white marking on his forehead. He is always seen topless, wears a fang necklace, black wristbands, baggy orange and yellow camouflage pants and black boots.
Personality[]
He is a fierce follower of Sati Saigan and will do anything to protect her ideals, even attacking and throwing his own teammate out of the ring for losing his cool. He seems to be quick to anger.
Abilities and Powers[]
Like most of the Gandhara, Jackson has the ability to nullify Furyoku.[3]
Spirit[]
- See More: Fudo Myooh
Jackson's guardian ghost, Fudo Myooh is a large Buddhistic spirit who utilizes a sword as a medium for its Over Soul. According to Pascual Abaj, it rules over the three Passions of Buddhism: Wrath, Greed, and Laziness. It has a personal weapon that when cutting someone, it can put them in a deep sleep that is not so easy to awaken from.[4] However, it would seem that it will stop working once Jackson runs out of Furyoku.
History[]
Shaman Fights Second Round[]
He made his first official appearance in the second round when Team "Myooh" was to fight Team "The Ren". After Yainage lose his cool in his fight against Tao Ren, Jackson cut down Yainage's Over Soul[5] and punched Yainage out of the ring. When Ren turns his back on Jackson, Fudo Myooh cuts Ren with its sword, putting Ren to sleep. Chocolove McDonnell attacks in retaliation, but Jackson blocks the attack and is impressed that Chocolove can also counter Furyoku nullification.[4] After he and Kado defeat Chocolove, they attack Usui Horokeu who defends with large amounts of ice.[6] Jackson and Kado eventually run out of Furyoku and therefore officially lose.
When Sati wanted to have the Five Elemental Warriors to train in hell, it was Jackson's and Team "Myooh"'s responsibility to send Team "The Ren" to hell and watch over their bodies so that they would surely be able to revive.
Invading the Plants[]
While Asakura Yoh and his friends invaded the Plants, Jackson, alongside the rest of Team "Myooh" and Sati, traveled to hell in order to obtain the remaining four of the Five Grand Elemental Spirits. There Jackson fought with and defeated Izanami, one of the four Kings of Hell, and obtained the Spirit of Thunder.[7]
Anime/Manga Difference[]
Like many of the Gandhara members, Jackson does not appear in the 2001 anime series.
