Matoba Mami (的場 真美), or simply Mamy (マミ Mami), is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga and anime series. She is a member of Gandhara and a part of Team "Deva".
Appearance[]

Mamy is a young girl with short dark hair and a slim frame. She is usually shown with her eyes closed, though there a few instances in the manga series where her eyes are open.
Her attire consists of a patterned green t-shirt and an orange skirt she wears over patterned brown trousers. Mamy also wears a purse around her waist and black sandals.

Her guardian ghost is Asura, who appears to have originally been a Buddhist statue like Dainichi. He is described as having an evil passion so strong that it difficult to form an Over Soul with him. Samy and herself both share him as their guardian ghost. When she forms an Over Soul they wield the other seven Devas as weapons in combat.

Mamy originates from Gifu in Japan and was born on April 9, 1983. She was once an aspiring writer, and she joined Gandhara after they saved her while she was traveling in India teaching Japanese at Gandhara's schools.
Shaman Fights Second Round[]
She is apart of Gandhara, specifically a member of Team "Deva" alongside Ozam and Samy. Her team makes it to the second round and soundly defeats Team "Cowboys" and "Nazca" before withdrawing from the Tournament to go along with Yoh's plan to kill Hao.
Anime/Manga Difference[]
Like many of the Gandhara members, Mamy does not appear in the 2001 anime series.
