Mr. B (Mr.（ミスター） B（ビー）, Misutā Bī) is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga and anime series. He is the originator of Gandhara and the Shaman King of 500 BC.

Appearance

Mr. B appears as a man with an urna, elongated earlobes, and his long hair partially tied up in a topknot. He wears an orange kāṣāya.

Abilities and Powers

As a Shaman King, Mr. B had the Great Spirit as his Guardian Ghost and possessed immense power over the Earth.

History

Past

Mr. B was born into a royal family. However, he chose to become a monk out of concern for the world and underwent harsh training.

In 500 BC, Mr. B participated in the Shaman Fight with the intention of spreading his teachings. During the event, he founded the group Gandhara. He ultimately won the Shaman Fight and became the Shaman King.

Flowers

After Asakura Hao became Shaman King in AD 2000, Fra YVS and four others of the G8 objected to Hao's plan for the future of humanity. When the G8 Summit could not reach an agreement, a Flower of Maize competition was called, so Mr. B organized his own team, known as Team B.

In AD 2014, Mr. B personally visited Funbari Onsen and asked Tamamura Tamao to be the General of his team. However, she refused and suggested Komeri in her stead. While they waited for Komeri's decision, Mr. B explained to the onsen's staff about YVS' creation of a false Buddhist messiah, as well as about the limitations they face even as Shaman Kings. After returning to Funbari Onsen, Komeri accepted the position as General.

• Mr. B is first mentioned by Oyamada Manta when he is speculating about historical figures who might have been past Shaman Kings.
• Mr. B is based on Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism.
