Nakht Pitrah (ナクト・ピトラ Nakuto Pitora) is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga and anime series. He is part of Team "Niles" for the Shaman Fight.
Appearance[]
Like most members of Team "Niles", Nakht wore a large white suit and tie, with a blue dress shirt and green tie. He was mostly seen with an Egyptian mask pyramid with a single blue Egyptian eye in the center, and large stone gloves and shoes the same color as the pyramid.
Personality[]
Abilities and Powers[]
Nakht was a user of Egyptian witchcraft and Anatel considers him to have the greatest pyramid power, which can generate infinite furyoku.[3] However, since Nakht's own furyoku is very low, it enables him to recover faster than other shamans.[4]
Spirit[]
- See More: Scarab
Nakht's Guardian Ghost is Scarab, a beetle spirit,[4] and Nakht uses his pyramid helmet as the medium for the Over Soul.[3]
History[]
Past[]
Nakht was born on December 3, 1967 in Giza, Egypt. He, Anatel Pokki, and Khafre Puljiz were childhood friends. As an adult, Nakht worked as the president of a traveling agency.[4]
Coming to Tokyo[]
Nakht and the other qualifying competitors attended the opening ceremony at Mimata Hall.[5]
A month later, Nakht and the other competitors gathered at Yokocha Base and were flown to America in the Patch Jumbo. The shamans were tasked with locating and reaching the Patch Village within three months. While still tens of thousands of feet in the air, the jumbo jet was revealed to be an Over Soul shortly before it was dematerialized, dropping all of its passengers. Nakht used his pyramid helmet to descend safely to the ground.[6]
Nakht, Anatel, and Khafre successfully reached the village and formed Team "Niles" for the tournament.
Shaman Fight Second Round[]
Their first match was against the X-Laws' Team "X-I". Team "Niles" demonstrated their powers in an attempt to intimidate the X-Laws, but X-Laws were unperturbed. Iron Maiden Jeanne then suggested that Lyserg Diethel take on all three by himself, which aggravated Nakht and his teammates. As soon as the match began, Lyserg's O.S. Homing Pendulum struck Nahkt, knocking him down and smashing a hole through the front of his pyramid helmet. Lyserg's Over Soul also crushed Khafre's sarcophagus and Anatel's arms. Lyserg advised them to give up because they were too weak to live against the X-Laws. Anatel refused and continued fighting, despite Nakht's and Khafre's protests.[7]
Lyserg lacked the conviction to actually kill Anatel, so Jeanne stepped out of her Iron Maiden and had Shamash pass judgment on and execute Anatel. Nakht and Khafre stood in shock at their friend's sudden death. Jeanne offered to spare them judgment, but they were too outraged by the murder of the friend. When they attacked her, she restrained them in iron chairs and demanded that they repent and beg forgiveness. Nakht and Khafre insisted on Anatel's goodness, so Jeanne executed them as well, with a Statue of Apega squeezing and crushing Nakht.[8]
Invading the Plant[]
After Asakura Hao became the Shaman King, Nakht and his team boarded the train of souls in the Great Spirit and rode it up to the highest commune in support of the Five Elemental Warriors.[9]
Anime/Manga Difference[]
In the 2001 anime series, Nakht's spirit medium was a sphinx.[10]
Trivia[]
- In the Game Boy Advance game Shaman King: Master of Spirits 2, he reappears as an enemy only in the desert areas.
