Over Soul (オーバー・ソウル ) is the 1st opening theme of the Shaman King anime. It was performed by Megumi Hayashibara and was released as her 26th single alongside the 1st ending.
It was reused as the ending theme of Episode 5 of the Shaman King reboot anime.
Overview[]
"Over Soul" was the 26th single released by Megumi Hayashibara featuring the vocal and non-vocal versions of the 1st opening and ending to the 2001 anime adaptation. The single was released in two editions with bonus content if pre-ordered on the first press: a Regular with Megumi on the cover with her trading card, and the Limited featuring Anna Kyoyama on the cover and her Shaman King trading card.
The song stands as one of Megumi Hayashibara's best sellers when the single reached #7 on the Oricon chart for eight weeks, and selling 61,000 copies during the first week till it accumulated to 111,000. The song also manged to reached #1 on the radio prgram, SOMETHING DREAMS Multimedia Countdown, and it stayed on the countdown for a total of six weeks. [1]
