Oyamada Keiko (小山田 圭子) is a fictional character in the Shaman King series. She is the wife Oyamada Mansumi and the mother of Manta and Mannoko.

Appearance[]

In contrast with the rest of the family, she is of an average height and slender build, with neck-length brown hair.

Personality[]

From her son Manta's own opinions, Keiko is apparently a very shallow and superficial person. She told her son not to be friends with Asakura Yoh anymore because how it would look for a member of the family to be seen with a spiritualist.

History[]

Shaman Fights in Tokyo[]

After her son was injured by the shaman Johann Faust VIII, she visited Manta in the hospital. There she tried to convince him not to see Asakura Yoh anymore, motivated mostly by her concern of how others would perceive Manta's association with a "spiritualist" rather than out of concern for her son's safety. Manta chastises his mother's superficial attitude and runs away leaving her standing in the hospital with his younger sister.[2]

Anime/Manga Difference[]

Oyamada Keiko does not appear in the 2001 anime series.

Trivia[]

Oyamada Keiko shares the same first name as her son's best Friend's Mom: Asakura Keiko.
