Throughout the shaman tournament, the Patch Tribe use various vehicles to transport the contestants around the world. Though they perfectly resemble modern day vehicles, they are all actually Over Souls created by Goldva and the Ten Patch Priests.
Patch Jumbo[]
Patch Jumbo (パッチジャンボ Patchi Janbo, Patch Jumbo Jet in the English manga) is a jumbo jet that is kept at Yokota military base in Tokyo.[1]
After the first round of the Shaman Fight, those who qualified for the second round gathered at the military base and were flown to America. Later while flying over a desert in America, Goldva and the Ten Patch Officiants appeared on a screen in the plane and explained the rules for the next part of the tournament to the passengers. They then revealed that the plane was an Over Soul and dissolved it in midair.[2][3]
Helicopters[]
A few days after the participants had all gathered at the Patch Tribe Village in America, the Patch Tribe used a wide variety of helicopters to transport everyone, including spectators, to a secret island in Japan where the second round would truly be held. Kalim of the Ten Patch Officiants, who transported Tao Ren, Usui Horokeu, and Chocolove McDonnell in a small helicopter, noted that he had trouble maintaining the Over Soul at the end of the trip.[4]
Patch Marine[]
Patch Marine (パッチマリン Patchi Marin) is a submarine Over Soul that takes the four remaining teams to the Continent of Mu for the final round of the Shaman Fight. Kalim believes that it looks good[5] and it is very strong being able to take the pressure of the seawater at a depth of 5,000 feet.[6]
Anime/Manga Differences[]
Due to major changes in the storyline, the Patch Crafts never appear in the 2001 anime series.
