Ragoh (
Concept[]
Once every 500 years, the comets circle Earth in opposite directions, signaling to shamans worldwide that the Shaman Fight tournament is about to start. It is said that the "stars" symbolize destruction, which can only be stopped by the winner of the Shaman Fight, the savior known as the "Shaman King."[1]
Ragoh's passing causes the Great Spirit to appear in the Patch Village for three months.[2]
Trivia[]
- Rahu (pronounced Ragō in Japanese) and Ketu (pronounced Keito in Japanese) are two of Hindu mythology's Navagraha (or "imperial stars"). Among the Navagraha, the planets Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn; the Sun; and the Moon, are all included. Rahu (north or ascending lunar node) and Ketu (south or descending lunar node) are, however, lunar nodes.
