Shaman King (2021)

Shaman King is the second adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei's manga of same name. The series was announced with a video released on June 11, 2020, and an update to the official website.

It will adapt the 35 volumes of the manga's complete edition, and will provide the canonical ending of the manga, that was originally released after the first adaptation of Shaman King from 2001 had already finished.

It is expected to be released on April 2021.

Development

Masao Maruyama, former president of MAPPA and Madhouse, had manifested his interest into rebooting Shaman King on 2015 at Otakon. On February 2017, while answering a fan's question, Takei had declared on Twitter that he had received an offer to reboot Shaman King, but he had declined for not being able to keep the original voice actors and soundtrack.

On June 11, 2020, the official channel of KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE released a promotional video for a readaptation of Shaman King to be released in April 2021.
