Shion-Shion (シオンシオン, "ShionShion", Xiong-Xiong in the English Anime) is the spirit of a giant panda and the guardian ghost of Hang Zang-Ching.

About[edit | edit source]

Shion-Shion is the spirit of a Giant Panda that used to belong to a Japanese zoo. He used to be everyone's attraction but he was extremely unhappy, as he didn't have the freedom he desired. One day, he attempted to escape but in the process attacked a person, resulting in there being no option left except to kill him.

Just like Shion-Shion, Hang Zang-Ching was incredibly unhappy, as no one seemed to like him. When the two first meet at the Japanese zoo, they soon instantly understood each other's feelings and so Hang Zang-Ching decided to take Shion-Shion as his guardian ghost. In respect to Shion-Shion, Hang Zang-Ching makes use of a golden gong, that Shion-Shion used to love to play with, as his medium.[1]
