Spimea Lasso (スピメア・ラッソ Supimea Rasso) is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga sequel series. The head of the Lasso Family, Spimea is a close relative of Luchist Lasso[2] and an executive of Daremoine.[3]

For the Flower of Maize, Spimea is the General Manager of Team YVS.[4]

Appearance[]

Spimea is a tall slender woman, with long hair. She is commonly seen wearing a long black dress and a tall pointy hat, with a wide brim.

After losing her right eye and arm during the battle against the X-Laws and Marco Lasso,[5] she replaced her arm with a prosthetic one.[6]

Personality[]

According to Kamogawa Yohsuke, Spimea excels at controlling and manipulating people which is the reason she was made the leader of the Lasso Family.[5]

Abilities and Powers[]

Lyserg Diethel describes her furyoku as feeling subdued and quiet.[2]

Spirit[]

See More: Lucifer | Lilith | Moloch

As her title "Devil Woman" suggests, Spimea has a collection of various powerful devils.[6][7][8]

One of her Guardian Ghosts is the angel Lucifer. She uses an antique rifle as her medium for her Over Soul.[9]

For the Flower of Maize, her Guardian Ghost is the devil Lilith, and she is capable of performing New Trance with Lilith.[7]

History[]

Past[]

Spimea and Luchist in their youth

Spimea was the one who raised Luchist Lasso. When Luchist became an adult and by his own request, Spimea gave him a job as priest and an inquisitor, an assassin working for the Lasso Family, with the goal of killing Asakura Hao whom they learned was about to reincarnate. After Luchist failed to kill Hao when they first learned of his reincarnation and location, Spimea kept tabs on him, including the orphan Marco Lasso, that Luchist had adopted, his trip into the Heaven Commune in the Great Spirit and the new orphanage he was building together with Marco, that Spimea even donated to.[10]

When Asakura Hao burned down the chapel and the orphanage, Spimea rushed there, but was too late, as everything had already burned down to the ground and all she could do was watch Luchist and Marco Lasso attempt to save the children.[2]

At one time Spimea was also very close with Niaes Varge's parents, noting that they were very talented people and was grateful for their actions.[5]

In 2012, Spimea had Tamurazaki Midori send the robot YVS to Kamogawa Yohsuke.[11]

Marcos[]

Spimea approached Lyserg Diethel and John Denbat at the ruins of Luchist and Marco's orphanage. After praying for the lost souls, she introduced herself, which incited Lyserg to summon the Spirit of Fire. However, he backed down when she threatened to kill both men and instead offered a peaceful discussion. She revealed that she too was searching for Marco.[2] When John grabbed his grenade launcher and fired O.S. "Raphael", Spimea summoned Lucifer and easily destroyed John's Over Soul, causing John to lose consciousness. She then bid them farewell and offered to supply them with weapons if they ever needed them.[9]

Around the same time, Spimea used her international connections to get the X-Laws removed from their government and military positions, as well as to shoot down the Leidi Group's group plane carrying Hans and Teruko Reiheit. She was informed of the success while she drove to her family's underground facility for a meeting with other Daremoine executives.[3]
