- For the earthbound spirit of the same name, see Suzu.
Suzu (スズ) is a fictional character from the Shaman King The Super Star manga series. He is a member of the Knights Templar.[1]
Appearance[]
Suzu in his Patch outfit
Suzu has messy, shoulder-length black hair.
As a Patch Officiant, he wore the traditional Patch cloak and robes. His headband was decorated with circles and a feather hanging from both temples.[2]
As a Templar Knight, he wore the hooded cloak and plate armor emblazoned with the order's cross.[3]
As a biker, he wears a pair of round-framed shades, a shirt, blue jeans, black boots, and fingerless gloves. Over this, he wears a black knee-length cloak that closes on the left[1] and has the order's cross on the back.[4] (Sometimes his cloak is depicted as having sleeves and his shades are drawn without temples.)
Personality[]
Suzu is loyal to Kamogawa Yohsuke and is willing to face danger to defend him and his friends. He despises Fra YVS and the rest of Daremoine.[5]
Abilities and Powers[]
Spirit[]
Suzu's dinosaur spirit
Like the other Templar Knights, Suzu's Guardian Ghost is a dinosaur spirit.[6][5]
History[]
Past[]
Suzu was one of Patch Officiants responsible for the Shaman Fight in AD 1500. After Fra YVS won and became Shaman King, the Officiants were caught off guard when their fellow Officiant Hydro revealed himself to be a reincarnated Asakura Hao, as well as having stolen the Spirit of Fire.[2] Suzu and his fellow Officiants converted to YVS' religion, following the tribe's laws, and became the Knights Templar.
During the 500 years in the Great Spirit, the Knights Templar became a biker gang and opened the bar, Patcy Cat.[7]
Flowers[]
Through dimensional shifting, the Knights Templar were manifested physically into the world. After Thorim retrieved a piece of YVS' power from Asakura Yohkyo, the Knights escorted Kamogawa Yohsuke to Kyoto Tower for the meeting of Team YVS.[8]
On the night of the ritual, the Knights sat outside Kyoto Tower in order to keep people away from it.[1] When they were approached by Asakura Hana, Thorim took the fight down into an underground tunnel, while Suzu and Tetts were sent to make a report to Team YVS' leaders.[6] Hana made his way into the tower and barged into Team YVS' meeting while carrying Suzu over his shoulder.[4]
When Spimea Lasso merged Sati Saigan with Moloch, Suzu warned Hana about the danger and offered to fight so Hana could escape, but Hana was intrigued by the transformation.[9] After fighting broke out between Master Mo and Spimea over Hana and Sati, Hana placed Suzu on the floor and sat down so that he could talk to Yohsuke.[10]
After Yoh defeated Hana and the Daidarabotchi, the remaining Knights came to the boy's aid and prepared to fight in his defense. However, Hana stood back up and refused to let them interfere.[5] They watched in shock as Hana used New Trance with himself and knocked back Phillip M. Wyden. Afterwards, the Knights watched Hana leave the tower on his own.[11]
