Tao Ginny (幻陰, Gein) (Jenny Tao in the English anime) is a cousin of Tao Ren and Tao Jun and Tao Yúan's niece. Ginny only appears in the anime.
Appearance
Ginny is a tall slender woman with Dark Jade hair and a red Chinese-style short pants.
Personality
Ginny is arrogant and spoiled who does not play fair and becomes frustrated quickly. She appears to be Jun's rival and claims that her spirit is superior to Jun's after Jun lost to Asakura Yoh.
Abilities and Powers
She is a Dàoshì who uses talismans to control reanimated corpses, her specialty being spirit hunters.

History
Past
It is possible that Ginny spent most of her past in China living with her family and doing Shaman training.
Coming to Tokyo
After Ren and Jun are beaten by Yoh, the Tao family sends Ginny to Tokyo to defeat Yoh. She arrives by plane and shortly afterward engaged Yoh in a battle. Her spirit ally Yugai duplicated herself and attacked Yoh. However, after her duplicates were destroyed, Yoh destroyed Yugai. Ginny, frustrated by this, ran off while giving Yoh an angry face. It is unknown what happened to Tao Ginny next.
Shaman Fights Second Round
She made a cameo at the end of Shaman King episode 45 and reappears in the following episode as a participant in the Shaman Tournament. Ginny has a team of her own called Team Doshi Force, with her younger brother Kyou and her little sister soumei as teammates Like Ginny, they are also Dàoshì. She and her two siblings battle Ren in the Shaman Tournament, apparently hating him for betraying them and want him destroyed. However, they are defeated by Ren and their hatred of him fades away when he takes out the family's heirloom, the Jeweled Thunder Sword, as proof he is good enough to become Shaman King.
It is unknown what happens with her next, but Her voice is heard in the final episode of Shaman King when everyone is rooting for Yoh in the final battle against Hao.
Anime/Manga Difference
Ginny only appears in the anime as a cousin of Tao Ren and Tao Jun and Tao Yúan's niece. In the English anime she has a British accent just like Ren and Jun.
Trivia
- Ginny appears in the Shaman King Legacy games along with Yugai where she fought with Asakura Yoh instead of Tao Ren.
