Team Hao (チームハオ, Chīmu Hao) is the team representing Asakura Hao in the Flower of Maize tournament. Their opponent is Team YVS.

History

Past

After the infant Asakura Hana and his parents, Yoh and Anna, were killed in the Middle East, Shaman King Hao agreed to resurrect all three of them but with the condition that numerous oni were implanted in Hana's body. This was done to dissuade Team YVS from attempting to kill or mess with Hana's body.

Hana and Alumi face Yohsuke and the Rapt in the Patch Village.

Alumi Numbirch and Hana first met when Kamogawa Yohsuke and the Rapt destroyed the Patch Village and killed the Patch Tribe, except for Alumi. Despite being repeatedly frozen in time, Hana successfully killed Yohsuke. Dong Dehon then stopped Hana so he could retrieve Yohsuke's body, while Dong Shahon erased Hana's memories so the oni would not appear.

Flowers

In preparation for the Flower of Maize, Alumi Numbirch traveled to Funbari Hill, staying with Redseb and Seyrarm, and arranged for the gathering of Team Hao's members.

Alumi prevented Asakura Luca and Yohane from killing Hana at Funbari Onsen. Hana later befriended Yohane and they went to Zion Mall. After Luca petrified and stole Amidamaru, Hana resorted to summoning oni, and Alumi had to stop Hana's summoning of the Daidarabotchi.

Later that night, Ibuki Gakko and Namaha arrived in Funbari Hill a day early and encountered Hana at the cemetery, and the two shamans began fighting. After breaking up the fight, Alumi introduced the members to each other, including Yohane, which surprised him. She also explained the basics of the Flower of Maize to them.

The next day, Tao Men arrived in Funbari Hill and attacked by the sons of Khafre Puljiz and Nakht Pitrah, who had been sent by Kamogawa Yohsuke. After defeating the men, Men was spotted by Hana so he decided to test Hana's abilities. Although Gakko and Yohane came to Hana's defense, Men easily defeated them, and Hana was forced to summon out Daidarabotchi again. The Yami-Oni dealt with Shamash; however, the strain of summoning it killed Hana.

Before Hao would revive Hana, he tasked the boy with defeating a copy of 14-year-old Yoh and escaping the Mini Ashura Hell. Meanwhile, the rest of Team Hao moved Hana's body to the freezer at Funbari Onsen, and Alumi told them about Hana's situation. The Muntzer siblings arrived to retrieve their Golem and introduced Team Hao to Black Maiden, who had taken Tao Jeanne's spirit as her Guardian Ghost. In a brief fight, Niaes almost killed Men but was stopped by the Muntzer siblings. Tamao's return brought an end to anymore fighting, and she sat down to discuss the situation with the Muntzer siblings, who tried to convince Team Hao to give up.

Trivia

• Four of the five fundamental members are blood related to Hao: Hana is the son of Yoh, Hao's twin brother from his third life and descendant of his first life; Alumi is a descendant of Hydro, Hao's second life; and Yohane and Gakko are descendants of Hao's first life.
