Team YVS (チームヤービス, Chīmu Yābisu) is the team representing Fra YVS in the Flower of Maize tournament.

History

Past

Prior to Asakura Hao's reincarnation, Team YVS enlisted the Lasso Family to seek out and assassinate the infant. After the repeated failures of Luchist Lasso and the other inquisitors, Hao had recovered too much of his former strength, so Team YVS shifted its activities to preparing for an eventual Flower of Maize against the future Shaman King.

Years after the Shaman Fight, the robot YVS appeared before Kamogawa Yohsuke as the boy was about to commit suicide. YVS convinced Yohsuke to enter into a contract for the power of YVS Cards and ultimately trapped the boy in millions of dollars of debt.

With the help of the Rapt, YVS and Yohsuke destroyed the Patch Village and massacred the Patch Tribe, leaving only Alumi Numbirch alive. Asakura Hana, who was there defending Alumi, killed Yohsuke, so Dong Dehon and Shahon—members of the Dong Family and allies of Fra YVS—retrieved Yohsuke's body and erased Hana's memories of the whole encounter.

Yohsuke gave Asakura Yohkyo pieces of YVS' power in support of the branch Asakura Family's plan to kill Hana and usurp the main family.

Flowers

After Asakura Yohane and Luca fail to kill Hana, Yohsuke spies on the boys at school. When the boys decide visit the Zion Mall, Yohsuke purchases the mall and coordinates with Luca to attack Hana and steal Amidamaru. After Hana's Yami-Oni destroys Luca's O.S. "Byg-Salem", Yohsuke steals the petrified Amidamaru, recovers the piece of YVS' power, and then erases the witnesses' memories of his intervention.

Yohsuke later commissions the sons of Khafre Puljiz and Nakht Pitrah to kill Tao Men, but correctly predicts that they do not stand a chance against Men.

After Hana dies and is sent to the Mini Ashura Hell, Yohsuke follows after him and coordinates with the American forces within the commune. Yohsuke has Anderson fly him to the island, and they crash the plane into the Patch's Café. Yohsuke fights and defeats Hana, launching the boy into another part of the Hell. After Sakurai Sakutaro kills Anderson, Yohsuke redirects a bullet into Sakutaro, but the Zero fighter pilot manages to kill Yohsuke before succumbing to his injury. The Knights Templar then arrive to retrieve Yohsuke and YVS. Once revitalized, Yohsuke follows after Hana and watches with interest as Sakutaro kills Hana.

Meanwhile, the Muntzer siblings and Niaes Varge visit Funbari Onsen in order to retrieve the Golem. Niaes almost kills Men but is stopped by the Muntzer siblings because of the Hana-Gumi Waitresses. The siblings have tea with Tamamura Tamao, and Redseb asks for Team Hao to withdraw. Tamao refuses to give an answer before Hana returns from Hell, which the siblings accept.

After Hana returns from Hell, Yohsuke and Niaes travel to Satoya-mura and meet with Hebishima Yumeji in order to monitor Hana's abilities, as well as those of Oume Kaizou and Alumi. That night, Yohsuke and Niaes investigate Kaizou's past by accessing the Great Spirit's archive. After leaving the archive, Yohsuke and Niaes travel to Kaizou's mansion and confront Alumi. Yohsuke anticipated Yumeji trying to flee, so he had Dong Honhon wait outside for Yumeji. After she punches the Rapt back into the building, she joins Yohsuke and Niaes inside.
