Tokyo (トーキョー Tōkyō) is a fictional island in the Shaman King manga and anime series. This uninhabited island off the coast of Japan is the location of the main tournament for the Shaman Fight,[1] hence the full name "Shaman Fight in Tokyo 2000".[2]
About[]
The island is located 23 nautical miles south-southeast of the city of Tokyo.[3] The island has various abandoned buildings, including a factory, ports, and houses. The Patch Tribe remodeled several buildings in order to host the competitors and spectators, as well as built a large stadium for the main fights themselves.[1] Due to being in a volcanic region, the island has natural hot springs.[4]
Patch Stadium (パッチスタジアム Patchi Sutajiamu) is a multisided arena with an open roof. At the center is a circular, raised fighting ring.[1] Four totem poles generate a powerful Over Soul that protects the spectators from the competitors' attacks and prevents outsiders from interfering in the fights.[5] This force field allows Radim and the competitors to pass through and is capable of successfully containing the force of a massive explosion;[6] however, Lyserg Diethel's O.S. "Mastema Dolkeem" is strong enough to break through the force field during a match.[7]
The restaurant Corn King (王様のトウモロコシ Ōsama no Tōmorokoshi) was built in an abandoned schoolhouse and sells food to the competitors.[8]
The Patch's Café Mame is a small coffee shop run by Thallim.[9]
There is an old Japanese Navy port with a dry dock, where the Patch Marine is constructed.[10]
