Zelel (ゼルエル Zerueru) is a fictional character in the Shaman King manga and anime series. He is an angel and a piece of him was used to create the Archangel that serves as Lyserg Diethel's Guardian Ghost.[3]
About[]
Zelel is an archangel known as the "Arm of God" (神の腕 Kami no Ude) because of his command of warfare. He also oversees the hidden scriptures.[4] Like the other Archangels, Zelel possesses the ability to shatter other spirits with his attacks.[5]
Mobile Angel[]

Luchist Lasso ventured into the Big Heaven,[6] took a piece of Zelel, and placed it in a blue Lotus Elise.[7] Because of this origin, its Over Soul can manifest as a Lotus Elise and be driven like a car.[8] While not a real angel, its reiryoku is almost at Kami Class.[9] Until Lyserg was given Zelel, it was chained up in the X-Armory on the Ark-X.[10]
Lyserg's main media for his Over Souls are bullets fired from a derringer,[3] known as Sword No-008 "Lyserg Derringer" (リゼルグデリンジャー Rizerugu Derinjā).[11]

Description: In its archangel form, Zelel has a slender build with its wings on its hips and wields an épée.[3] Specializing in speed, the angel moves and attacks with super speeds that are almost undetectable to humans.[4] If Lyserg's mind focuses more on the car than the religious pieties in Zelel when summoning the spirit, the colorations of the mechanical archangel may alter.[7]

Description: This is a multiple-spirit Armor-type O.S. which Lyserg creates while in the underworld. Through the partial guidance of Pascual Abaj and his two spirits, Lyserg forges this new O.S. which integrates Zelel and Morphine with his Derringer and his "Elizabeth". The O.S. manifests as a huge pair of pauldrons and a fault connected by a strip of back armor, thus covering his shoulders and waist. Five additional armor fragments suspend themselves behind Lyserg's head for additional protection, and six burning arms of Furyoku, resembling his original O.S. Homing Pendulum, give it simultaneous defense and offense. Lyserg attributes the nature of this O.S. as a means to prevent himself from being consumed by the fires of his anger, thus attuning his Furyoku to the element of fire.

- Halvaya (
火葬 Haruvayā, lit. "Cremation"): Mastema Dolkeem's signature move, the six appendages are set ablaze and rotate around Lyserg in this attack, creating a vortex of fire that envelopes the opponent completely.[12] Halvaya is Hebrew for "funeral".
Anime/Manga Difference[]
In the 2001 anime series, Zelel has an additional Over Soul formed by the fusion of Morphin and the other Archangels (except Michael).
